Positive energy for Robert and Kristen

James Gandolfini praises Kristen’s Marylou presents a section where actors give credit to other actors about their work on films that stand a good chance to be among the players in the awards season. Kristen’s work in On The Road couldn’t go unnoticed and James Gandolfini, her co-star in Welcome to the Rileys gushed about her portrayal of Marylou:

“The only people for me are the mad ones.” — Jack Kerouac

Kristen Stewart is one of the mad ones. But mad in a beautiful way. And she is determined to make people mad. To show them she is more than Bella in “Twilight.” To show them she does burn, and smolder, and wants more out of her career and life. And smolder she does.

As soon as she steps into the movie “On the Road,” you can’t take your eyes off her. As Marylou, whenever she fixes her gaze, you see someone who will go as far as she can, and do it as mad as she can, to live and feel alive. And it is sexy and scary and reckless and smart. She can play all of these things. She has them at her fingertips. She is just beginning. She is fearless. And that can be that good, and that can be very bad. But she is smart enough to handle it.

Stick around my friends, and there will be much, much more to come. Thinking about it, I am smiling already.

In-laws at LA BD2 premiere after-party

Rob’s Dad and PapaStew as the fandom knows him pose together at the Breaking Dawn 2 LA premiere after-party. Now, if the tons of pap pics of Robert and Kristen together are brushed off as nothing more than PR strategy to promote the Robsten brand for bigger ticket sales, this pic is solid proof that the couple is going strong. I can’t see resentful dads attending the same event and hugging for a pic just to help their kids’ careers. No clue who the ladies are…

Rob’s LA Twilight Premiere wrap-up 2008-2012

Gucci fan for his red carpet appearances, Rob got the hang of it quite early. It was his first Twilight red carpet where he looked a bit like a fish out of the water in the dark dapper suit, Edward-hair all the way but he’s come a long way especially with this year’s bespoke emerald Gucci. My personal favorites? Colors and Berlin’s ice grey Burberry (which Edward would absolutely love)…

Kristen’s Twilight LA red carpet 2008-2012

Balenciaga with a youthful smile, Oscar de la Renta with a rock’n’roll hairdo, a white Elie Saab, J. Mendel and blue sequins … all solid choices but the flowing champagne Zuhair Murad of this year’s LA premiere shows in an indisputable way how much Kristen has evolved fashionwise. I’ve also included a close-up trip down memory lane. Next up: Rob!

Kristen’s fuller (healthier) figure

I just have to point out that a proof that Kristen is going through a ‘happy’ phase is her fuller figure. It was only a couple of months ago when she appeared at the NY screening of On The Road and looked almost gaunt after a very rough summer. Two months later, at the end of the BD2 promo tour, Kristen looks healthy and happy. And don’t let the big ‘camera friendly’ smile of the first picture fool you… The second pic is where Kristen is herself.

Kristen’s stylist talks about her red carpet attitude

Tara Swennen has been Kristen’s stylist since 2007 and her interview with  is very enlightening as to how Kristen’s fashion sense has evolved, what she likes or not, her attachment to personal jewellery and how far she is willing to push her limits. Interesting read.

Sparkly pics from BD2 Berlin premiere

This is it, guys! The final Breaking Dawn 2 red carpet in chilly Berlin. The sartorial choices of Robert and Kristen totally complemented the icy backdrop. Kristen chose a sparkly Elie Saab full-length gold sequined gown paired with Christian Louboutin open toe black ankle boots. The boots didn’t make much sense until she donned her favorite Balenciaga black biker jacket over the dress – it must have been really cold for a sleeveless dress. Rob’s look was a definite winner: he opted for an icy grey Burberry two piece suit which he matched with a silver grey dress shirt and black tie. I think I like this color even more than the emerald green he wore in the LA premiere. This photocall offered the sweet picture I chose as the new header for the blog. Saying goodbye with a bang…
